Research has shown that turmeric is one of the most anti-inflammatory plants in the world. The main ingredient in turmeric, curcumin, also helps to stop the enzymes in the body that are causing the inflammation, adding even more anti-inflammatory power to this ginger and turmeric smoothie.

The frozen peaches and bananas give this ginger and turmeric smoothie a naturally sweet taste and a wonderfully smooth consistency without having to add extra ice. You can add the honey if you still find the ginger and turmeric taste too strong.
I don’t seem to need it because I love the bitter taste of both spices. The nutritional information at the bottom of the recipe includes the added honey, but in case you’re wondering what the nutrition info is without it, here it is:
