Since beets are currently in season, I thought I’d celebrate their amazing taste and medicinal properties with a delicious beet banana berry smoothie. And not just one type of berry, but two!

This beet banana berry smoothie is made with raw beets, fresh or frozen strawberries and blueberries, a frozen banana, and almond milk. I also added a tablespoon of hemp seeds to add protein, and the hemp seeds also create a smoothness that is to die for! If you don’t have a high powered blender, make sure to grate the beat so it doesn’t where out the blade.

Beets can give you energy, boost your brain power, lower your blood pressure, and can act as a powerful aphrodisiac if you’re needing some extract juice in the sack! Plus since they’re a vegetable, it’s a great way to get fiber, vitamins and minerals without having to feel like you’re eating dirt. Beets are naturally sweet, and don’t worry, it’s natural sugar so this beet banana berry smoothie is the perfect healthy treat!

The banana helps to provide a magical sweetness and includes the power of potassium to help regulate the rhythm of your heart and provide a powerful water-retention fighting friend!

I used to hate bananas, but I suffered from serious foot cramps and one day when it was especially bad, my husband and father pushed me into eating one although I feared I would gag. Low and behold, I felt my taste buds change (a rather life changing experience) and not only did my cramps subside, but I immediately loved the taste for the first time in my life! Blueberries are powerful antioxidants. They help to boost your immune system and help to fight cancer. Strawberries offer a tart punch of low calorie, antioxidant sweetness that make the smoothie taste exotic!
